HIGH TECHNOLOGY CONDOMS
The conventional latex condom has changed very little since
its introduction during the 1930’s. Today, latex condoms do
come in a variety of sizes and shapes and also have almost imperceptible
ridges and bumps molded into their external surfaces. CMP has
taken these improvements to a new dimension.
SnugFIT and ConSLIP
CMP is testing two new products. Both of these products are
chemical additives which modify the ways condoms and latex examination
gloves are manufactured. One, called SnugFIT, when applied
to the interior of condoms permits the condom to better grasp
the penis making slippage less of a problem. It is also being
experimented on for gloves where it shows promise of increasing
their ability to hold examination or surgery instruments. A
second treatment, called ConSLIP, when applied to the exterior
of a condom, permits it to become very slippery thus enabling
easier penetration. This characteristic shows promise for those
women who experience difficulty in self-lubrication. When used
on gloves it permits the users hands to more easily don the
glove. Additionally, in preliminary tests, both coatings appear
to be help block allergic protein antigens from leaching out
from the latex. These benefits would enable latex products,
thus treated, to be advertised as hypo-allergenic – an important
distinction in a very competitive market.
LEVITRON

Actual photograph of Levitron
with self condom showing how the inflated micro
tubule network extend so as to better stimulates
the clitoris and vagina. |
The
LEVITRON device is a cylinder-like tube,
manufactured from .05mm thin (latex condoms vary
between .03mm and .08mm) medical grade polyurethane,
into which a network of microtubule channels and
a micro-check valve was inserted. The device will
be manufactured with and without a self-condom
attached. In the version without the self-condom
the glans of the penis is fully exposed to vaginal
stimulation.
The device may be slipped over a partially erect
or fully erect penis. As air is infused, the tubule
network expands making the penis more erect and
holding ambient blood from returning to the body,
which, in turn maintains the erection. When full
inflation is completed a micro-check valve retains
the infused pressure. The illustration at the
top of the page shows LEVITRON'S (with
self-condom) compressive effects with the penis
inserted into the vagina. |
|
| The tubule expansion
also increases the girth of the penis but not sufficiently
to prevent penetration post-lubrication; any type of
oil may be used (polyurethane does not degrade from
using those oils that cause latex condoms to deteriorate).
The tubules expand approximately 1/2" which, in
turn, actually stimulates surfaces in the vagina,
including the clitoral region, in a way that a penis
alone could never accomplish. Because the surface
polymer is soft and the tubules individually pliable,
the expansion is felt as pleasurable friction and is
not irritating. |
